The Flag Adoption Day of the Republic of Uzbekistan is a significant holiday, celebrated every year on November 18. This day symbolizes the unity, history, and cultural traditions of the Uzbek people. The flag of the Republic of Uzbekistan was officially adopted in 1991 after the country gained independence. It consists of three horizontal stripes: blue, white, and green. The blue color symbolizes water and the sky, white represents peace and purity, and green stands for nature and new life. On the blue stripe, there is a crescent moon and twelve stars, which refer to Islamic culture and the country’s historical heritage.

This year, the celebration of Flag Day at ASIA KIDS School was organized on a particularly grand scale. The morning assembly dedicated to this day brought together students, teachers, and parents. The schoolyard was decorated with national flags, as well as drawings and posters created by the children themselves.

The event began with the performance of the national anthem of Uzbekistan, after which the school principal delivered a ceremonial speech. He reminded the students of the flag’s significance as a symbol of independence and national pride, as well as their responsibility toward the country’s future.A particularly memorable part of the assembly was the students’ performances. The children prepared presentations and talks about the Flag of the Republic of Uzbekistan, its history, and its symbolism. One student described in detail the process of creating the flag and the selection of its elements, emphasizing how each color and symbol reflects unique aspects of Uzbek culture and history. Another student spoke about the different flags that had been used on the territory of Uzbekistan over the centuries, showing changes in the country’s political and cultural life.

The program of the assembly also included musical performances and dance presentations, in which the children wore national costumes. This added a special atmosphere to the celebration and allowed each participant to feel a deep connection with Uzbekistan’s cultural heritage.

At the end of the event, the school principal thanked everyone for their participation and expressed hope that such events help foster a sense of patriotism and respect for their country among the students.

Flag Day at ASIA KIDS School became not only a celebration but also an important educational event that helped students gain a deeper understanding of the history and meaning of their country’s symbols.
